What is MedMate? MedMate is a secure, easy-to-use medication tracker and pill reminder app designed to help you stay on top of your health. We help you organize your medicine cabinet, set custom alerts, and track your adherence history.
Is MedMate a medical provider? No. MedMate is a digital management tool. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting or changing a medication regimen.
2. Managing Your Medications
How do I add a new medication? Tap the “+” (Plus) icon on your dashboard. Enter the name of the medication, the dosage (e.g., 50mg), and the frequency (e.g., once daily or every 8 hours). You can also set specific times for your reminders.
Can I track vitamins and supplements? Absolutely. MedMate can be used to track any recurring health intake, including prescription pills, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements.
What happens if I miss a dose? MedMate will send you a notification at your scheduled time. If you miss it, the dose will appear as “Missed” in your history, helping you and your doctor understand your adherence patterns.
3. Privacy & Account Security
Where is my data stored? Your data is encrypted and stored securely on our private servers. We use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption to ensure your health information is protected during transit and at rest.
How does the “Link Account” feature work? By linking your account, you create a secure backup. If you lose your phone or upgrade to a new device, you can use your email and a 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) to restore your entire medicine cabinet instantly.
Do you sell my data? No. Your privacy is our priority. MedMate does not sell or share your personal health data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
4. Subscriptions & Premium
What is MedMate Premium? Premium unlocks the full power of MedMate, including:
- Unlimited medication entries.
- An ad-free experience.
- Detailed adherence reports.
- Advanced reminder customization.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription? All subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select MedMate to cancel or change your plan.
Can I get a refund? Refunds are handled by Google Play within the first 48 hours of purchase. Please refer to our Refund Policy in the Terms of Service for more details regarding technical malfunctions.
5. Troubleshooting
I’m not receiving notifications. What should I do? Please check the following:
- Ensure notifications are enabled for MedMate in your Phone Settings.
- Disable “Battery Optimization” for MedMate, as some phones “silence” apps to save power.
- Ensure your phone is not in “Do Not Disturb” mode during your scheduled dose times.
The app says “Store Communication Error.” What does that mean? This usually occurs when your device cannot reach the Google Play servers. Check your internet connection and ensure you are signed into a valid Google account on your device.
